Entrails

Entrails is a collection of 26 dramatic objects. Nothing quite like them can be found anywhere else in Canadian literature, French or English. They affront every convention of the stage, showing us a world of intransigent fantasy, symbolic and mysterious, sometimes violent, often funny, always disturbing. They are also daring experiments with language. Gauvreau has become a cult figure in Quebec since his death in 1971. Entrails is the first full book of his work published in translation.
