Zoe Whittall’s first novel, Bottle Rocket Hearts, was named one of the Best Books of 2007 by both the Globe and Mail and Quill & Quire. Following that, Now magazine awarded her the title of “Best Emerging Author of 2007.” Her previous two books of poetry are The Best Ten Minutes of Your Life and The Emily Valentine Poems. She has been anthologized in Breathing Fire 2: Canada’s New Poets. In 2008, she was the winner of the second annual Dayne Ogilvie award for emerging queer writers in Canada.
